The Browns Meadow Ranch has been in operation as a cattle and hay ranch for over 100 years. The ranch is located in the mountains of Northwest Montana where the grass loves to grow naturally.

We hay the fields, but we rotate cows in to regenerate and re-fertilize the fields and bring back the natural nutrients. The fields are sub-irrigated so they are constantly growing lush grass. The fields are a mix of orchard grass, garrison foxtail, bent grass, Kentuckly blue grass and fescue grasses. Numerous springs and creeks, including Mount Creek flow through the ranch making the fields grow tall and green.

The forest is fun for horseback riding, ATV/UTV, bike ride and especially hiking. Camp outside and gaze out at the Milky Way.

 

Better yet, enjoy a cold beer or glass of wine on the deck and soak up the splendor of a calm mountain breeze or a lonely coyote call.
